Uses

I've iterated on my setup over years of working in finance and engineering. The goal is always the same: minimize friction, maximize focus. Here's what I use daily.

Workspace

Home office setup optimized for long coding sessions and video calls

Uplift V2 Standing Desk

Standing desk with programmable height presets. I alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day.

Herman Miller Aeron

Worth every penny for the hours I spend at a desk. The lumbar support is unmatched.

Apple Studio Display

27-inch 5K retina. The built-in camera and speakers mean fewer cables and peripherals.

MacBook Pro 14" (M3 Pro)

Primary machine. The battery life and performance are incredible for a laptop this portable.

Apple Magic Keyboard

With Touch ID. I've tried mechanical keyboards but keep coming back to the low-profile feel.

Logitech MX Master 3

The horizontal scroll wheel is essential for timeline work. Pairs with multiple devices.

Development

The tools I reach for every day when writing code

VS Code

After years of trying alternatives, VS Code wins on extensibility and ecosystem. Key extensions: Tailwind IntelliSense, ESLint, Prettier, GitLens.

GitHub Dark Default

Clean, not too contrasty. I've stopped theme-hopping after settling on this.

JetBrains Mono

Excellent ligatures and readability at small sizes. Free and well-maintained.

Warp

Modern terminal with AI assistance, command history search, and collaborative features. Replaced iTerm for me.

Claude Code

AI pair programming in the terminal. Changed how I approach complex refactoring and unfamiliar codebases.

Arc Browser

Spaces help me context-switch between projects. The vertical tabs and command bar are game changers.

Tech Stack

My go-to technologies for building web applications

Next.js

Full-stack React framework. Server Components and the App Router have simplified my architecture decisions.

TypeScript

Can't imagine going back to plain JavaScript. The confidence during refactoring is worth the upfront cost.

Tailwind CSS

Utility-first CSS that keeps me in flow. v4 is a nice evolution with CSS-first configuration.

Motion (Framer Motion)

Makes complex animations approachable. The declarative API fits naturally with React.

Vercel

Deploy previews on every PR, zero-config deployments, and great analytics. Just works.

Productivity

Apps that help me stay organized and efficient

Raycast

Replaced Spotlight and Alfred. Clipboard history, snippets, window management, and a growing extension ecosystem.

Notion

Personal wiki, project docs, and knowledge base. The database features make it flexible for different use cases.

Linear

Issue tracking that respects developer experience. Fast, keyboard-driven, and beautifully designed.

Figma

Design, prototyping, and collaboration. Dev mode makes handoff seamless.

1Password

Password management for personal and team credentials. The CLI integration is great for secrets.

Audio & Video

For calls, music, and the occasional podcast recording

Sony WH-1000XM5

Noise cancellation for focus sessions. Comfortable enough for all-day wear.

AirPods Pro 2

For calls and walking around. The transparency mode and spatial audio are excellent.

Shure MV7

USB/XLR hybrid mic for video calls and recordings. Great sound without the complexity of an audio interface.
